Crack Detection in Plate-Like Structures Using Modal Strain Energy Method considering Various Boundary Conditions

چکیده

Among vibration-based damage detection methods, one of the effective approaches for localization is modal strain energy method. In this paper, method developed in plate-like structures with various boundary conditions. Firstly, theory briefly outlined. order to overcome limitation measuring points, a central difference newly employed compute partial differential terms formula. Finite element analysis conducted on an aluminum thin plate obtain mode shapes before and after occurrence damage. Feasibility proposed verified by investigating plates different types A index presented identify location extent crack structures. The analytical results show that accurately identifies structure conditions using appropriate threshold.
